Steve Hansen received an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineerng and his  Juris Doctorate law degree from the University of Iowa.  His law degree was granted with "Highest Distinction" and "Order of the Coif" honors.. Steve was admitted to practice law in both Iowa and Washington.  He served two years as a Federal District Court Law Clerk for the Hon. Judge William T. Beeks following law school.. He later served as a Deputy Prosecutor in Stevens County, prosecuting matters in Veterans and Drug Courts, as well as juvenile criminal matters. In May 2024, Jesse was appointed as the Ferry County Prosecutor, a position he was elected to in November 2024.. Jesse holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law with a Concentration in Environmental & Energy Law and a Certificate of Advanced Study in International & Comparative Law. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Religious Studies at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, Washington, in 2013.. Jesse was born and raised in rural Southeast Ohio to a logging and farming family. He joined the U.S. Army after high school in 2004, serving six years as an aviation maintenance technician and maintenance supervisor. He served two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005-2006 and 2007-2008.
