Shalini Bhatia Sawhney earned her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of. Law with a concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. She served as the founder and president of the Health Law Society, a founding member of the Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender & Social Justice, and a member of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy. She was selected to participate in the Tennessee Bar Association's Diversity Leadership Institute, Class of 2012, where she contributed to improving and enriching the legal community in Tennessee.. Since earning her J.D., Shalini has practiced civil litigation and estate planning. She is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi and conversational in Spanish.
