Personal Injury and Workers Compensation lawyer Geoffrey Turoff has been in practice since 1988, joining Dworken & Bernstein in 1995.. Geoffrey is very passionate about his volunteer service as a member of the Board of Directors of The Gathering Place, a local non-profit organization providing free support to patients and families touched by cancer.. What I love about my practice of law is being able to use my education, training and many years of experience, to help guide my clients through the legal maze that is the Worker’s Compensation system. I listen carefully to my clients, in order to fully understand their personal needs, and work with them to come up with a plan that will get them to their goals.
Irving Rosner is the head of Dworken & Bernstein’s Workers’ Compensation Department which helps the Firm’s clients who are injured at work. Prior to joining Dworken & Bernstein in 1986, Mr. Rosner was a trial attorney and prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, in Washington, D.C. and in Cleveland, Ohio. In Mr. Rosner’s seven year stint (1979-1986) at the Justice Department, he tried complex cases against some of the nation’s finest litigators. Meticulous planning, preparation, and strong advocacy were essential traits that Mr. Rosner brought with him to Dworken & Bernstein when he joined the Firm. Those traits enable Mr. Rosner and his group to offer the Firm’s injury clients a higher level of service that distinguishes Dworken & Bernstein from other firms, particularly in dealing with disabling work injuries that have long term consequences.. Irv’s Dworken & Bernstein commitment to you: “If you have suffered a life changing injury, I commit to provide you with dedicated service specific to your needs throughout all stages of your claim. I will get to know you and you will get to know me on a personal level. My group will represent all of the Firm’s injured workers with the same degree of care, preparation and commitment that I do. That is the Dworken & Bernstein Difference.”
I have been dedicated to serving the injured and disabled for 33 years, ever since I graduated from law school. This area of law became my passion when, in 1982, many people were cut off from their benefits without notice or due process. Once I saw deserving people being harmed because they were not receiving their disability benefits, I was hooked. It has been my honor to represent many deserving people ever since.. Over the years I have served as the chair of the Social Security section of the Cuyahoga Bar Association, chair of the Social Security section of the Ohio Trial Layers Association, and President of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives. I testified before special Social Security sessions called by the Honorable George Voinovich and Stephanie Tubbs Jones. I have learned so much from these opportunities and have used this knowledge to help my clients. Hopefully, I have given back to the community at large as well.
Before joining Nurenberg, Paris, Heller & McCarthy as an associate attorney in 2008, Benjamin (Ben) Wiborg clerked for our appellate, research, and writing departments while attending Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.. Ben focuses his practice on helping those who have been denied workers’ compensation benefits for on-the-job injuries. He works closely with Workers’ Compensation Administrator Robert Trivisonno and Attorney Ellen M. McCarthy.
