A lifelong Nevadan, Chuck grew up in Las Vegas in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.  Chuck earned his Bachelor’s Degree, with High Distinction from UNLV in 1989.  Chuck then attended the University of Utah College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1992.  Following a one-year clerkship at the Nevada Supreme Court, Chuck began practicing in Minden, Nevada, in 1993.  He became an associate with Brooke and Shaw, LTD, and later a partner of Brooke Shaw Zumpft.  Mr. Shaw retired; Mr. Brooke passed away, so Chuck formed Minden Lawyers, LLC.. Chuck’s primary areas of practice include family law, probate and estate planning, and criminal defense.  Chuck is and has been Yerington City attorney since 2000; and is General Counsel for Kingsbury General Improvement District and Indian Hills General Improvement District, both of which are in Douglas County.  Chuck is General Counsel for the Gardnerville Water Company, as well as Silver Springs Mutual Water Company.  Chuck is also counsel for the Tahoe Village Homeowners Association.. Chuck regularly provides pro bono legal services through Volunteer Attorneys for Rural Nevada (“VARN”).  VARN awarded Chuck with its “Lawyer in the Lobby of the Year” award in 2014..
