We fight for them against both the insurance company of the individual who injured them and also against their own no-fault insurance company to make sure our clients get the appropriate care that is needed. Jason represents a wide array of clients throughout Minnesota and Eastern North Dakota. I have been practicing in the area of family law for the past 10 years. I am currently practicing exclusively in the area of family law with Carson, Clelland & Schreder.   I have experience representing numerous clients in various family law matters, involving issues such as: physical custody, legal custody, child support, property valuation and division, spousal maintenance, domestic abuse, stepparent adoption and paternity matters.. I approach each case as unique and taylor my representation to the specific client goals.  I approach my client's with compassion and empathy, while also assisting them to remain focused on their goals.  My representation tends to be practical and solution focused.

I graduated from law school in 2004 and have spent nearly every day since then in court. Whether that was as a judge's clerk, a prosecutor, a defense attorney ... and as a defendant. I am not a perfect person. I have made mistakes in my life ... made poor decisions ... and I have had to rely on others (including a lawyer) to help me navigate those difficult times. I also needed to come to terms with a chemical dependency problem that was causing harm to myself and others. Gratefully, I found a program that works and, after turning myself over to the care of a power greater than myself. I have begun the long (and rewarding) process of making a daily amends to those that I hurt --- primarily by not returning to old/bad habits and by embracing a commitment to rigorous honesty ... something that allows me to live life (and its ups and downs) on life's terms. I am not a magician. But, I do believe that I have the personal and professional experience necessary to advise you about when it comes to what you can/should consider when you or someone you love is facing the sort of problem that might require the hiring of a lawyer. I am a partner at Carson, Clelland & Schreder and have been practicing law for eleven years. I started my law career working in criminal prosecution, which brought me to the Courtroom 3-4 days per week, giving me a unique comfort appearing in front of the bench that many civil practioneers do not gain. My practice has now transitioned and focuses primarily on families and their legal issues.. Working in family law my desire is to advocate for my clients, applying a sensible, pragmatic and cost-effective approach. The goal is for clients to have control of the outcome of their legal matters, which is espcially important in family matters where the legal issue is their homes, children and financial livelihood. However, I am still able to leverage my courtroom experience when settlement isn't possible and Court involvement is required. I regularly participate in mediation with the goal of minimizing legal costs while still obtaining the outcome my clients desire. My primary areas of practice are divorce, custody and parenting time matters, child support, post-decree issues, and paternity matters. I am also a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral and offer family mediation services.. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors or chasing my two children. Having a family of my own, enables me to understand how vital the issues my clients are facing.

Daniel Elie-Resnick Milavetz, a graduate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law (2017), has a rich background in law that includes studying at BPP University Law School in London during the summer of 2015. His primary focus is personal injury law, where he plays an active role in the Cardozo Society Legal Aid Clinic, volunteering to help low-income individuals. Additionally, Daniel participates in the “Giving Circle,” a volunteer group that funds non-profits through Jewish Family Services in St. Paul. At the Milavetz firm, he handles a full caseload, providing counsel to clients mainly in injury cases, with a litigation practice centered on depositions and mediations. In his leisure time, Daniel enjoys golfing, fishing, and playing basketball.

Alina received her Bachelor’s Degree in History from the Gustavus Adolphus College in 2012. Following her undergraduate education, she completed two years of service with AmeriCorps. Alina graduated with her Juris Doctorate from University of Oregon School of Law in 2017. While in law school, Alina interned at the South African Human Rights Commission, and attended the Oxford Consortium for Humans Rights. She also interned at Tubman, a local non-profit that provides legal representation to survivors of domestic violence, where she was a certified student attorney and represented clients in Orders for Protections and other family law matters. After law school, she worked as a law clerk for former Ramsey County Family Law Referee James Street. Since completing her clerkship in 2018, Alina has practiced nearly exclusively in all areas of family law, including domestic abuse (including both Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders), divorce, child custody, paternity, asset and debt division, spousal maintenance, and child support. Most recently, Alina worked at Hennepin County Self-help assisting individuals without attorneys navigate complex family law matters.. Alina enjoys hiking, gardening, working out, reading, spending time with her two dogs, and is a devoted gymnastics fan. She is a board member and Grant Committee Co-Chair for the Hennepin County Bar Foundation.
