Successfully resolving a civil dispute for a client or helping a business achieve its goals is what I enjoy doing for a living.  I represent clients regarding construction claims (defects and collections), insurance claims (home, auto accident, and business), general collection matters, business law, and general civil litigation matters. I have litigated multi-plaintiff lawsuits related to construction defect claims, insurance coverage claims, and various collection claims. I have participated in jury trials to verdict in cases involving wrongful death, fraud, construction defects, collection matters, and auto accidents. A portion of my practice also involves representing businesses with regular legal support for their day-to-day needs. I have been practicing in Mobile, Alabama for over 18 years.  I am licensed in all State and Federal courts in both Alabama and Mississippi. I am married to Melanie Rowan, and I have two children.  I am active in my church, as well as other ministries.  I enjoy helping people in tough and often tragic situations, and I don't ever give up.  I feel that my job is to (1) make my client's case the best it can possibly be, and (2) take the burden of this legal mine field off my client, and help them in every possible way.

I am also the Mobile County Drug Court and Veterans Court Judge.  I have been the Drug Court Judge since 2001.

Catherine Simon Spann is an associate in the firm’s litigation section. Catherine works with clients primarily in the areas of personal injury and commercial litigation. An Alabama native, she attended the University of Alabama, graduating magna cum laude, with a major in History and a minor in Sociology in 2010. She later received her Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Catherine served on the Campbell Moot Court Board, the Orientation Committee for First Year Orientation, and the Judge Conrad Duberstein Bankruptcy Team, competing in moot court competitions in Miami and New York. She also served as an intern for the Honorable Chief Judge William H. Steele, of the Southern District of Alabama, and the Honorable Judge John H. England, Jr., of the 6th Judicial Circuit in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.. Following law school, Catherine gained valuable experience as the law clerk for the Honorable Judge Roderick P. Stout of the 13th Judicial Circuit in Mobile, Alabama. Catherine is a member of the Young Lawyers Association of Mobile and the Mobile Bar Association Women Lawyers.
