She then used the skills acquired from that degree to serve as Director of Resource Development for Habitat for Humanity. While working for Habitat for Humanity, she advocated for affordable housing in Washington D.C. This experience reinforced her love of helping others and influenced her decision to go to law school.. After law school, Ms. Koontz returned home to Davie County to practice law with Mr. E. Edward Vogler, Jr. Mr. Vogler retired from private practice in 2014 and she has continued to carry on his tradition of providing competent and compassionate legal services to our community.
