Patrick Costa is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law. He began his career in private practice representing clients in a variety of areas including family, dissolution, criminal, and civil matters. He was later appointed as an Assistant Public Defender in Jefferson County, Illinois representing individuals in criminal and juvenile proceedings. He then joined the Office of the Jefferson County State’s Attorney as a felony prosecutor where he specialized in prosecuting violent crime and property offenses.
