In my spare time I enjoying reading about American history, playing guitar and banjo, and spending time with my wife and son.. "A good lawyer knows the law; a clever one takes the judge to lunch." - Mark Twain.
I have been privileged to practice law in the great State of Tennessee since 1997. If I can provide my experience to you or someone you know in the areas of Probate and Estate Administration, Conservatorships or Guardianships, Divorce and Family Law or Business and Commercial Litigation, please feel free to contact my office. If for any reason I am unable to assist you, I will do my best to get you to counsel who can help.
I grew up in Nashville, attending Eakin Elementary, Caldwell Middle, and Hillsboro High Schools. In my life, I have been a stepchild and a stepfather; I endured a divorce, and have children of my own. While at Hillsboro I received the Ed Hessey award (ask me). After spending five great years in college during the Payton Manning years, I graduated from U.T. (Knoxville) in 1997, and went to work in Nashville and Charleston, South Carolina for the trucking division of the world’s largest international shipping and logistics company. After three years in the real world, I went back to school, and received my law degree in 2003 from the University of South Carolina. While there I clerked for a local law firm and worked on the student staff of the ABA Real Property, Probate, and Trust Journal. I was on the Dean's List and found time to enjoy USC.. After graduation, I spent time working in a law firm and as an Assistant Public Defender before settling into my private, solo, practice in 2007. My focus is family and domestic law. I am currently admitted to practice in South Carolina (inactive status) and Tennessee.
I believe in the power of strong attorney-client relationships, and I make every effort to foster open and honest discourse with my clients. Empathy is a key quality in lawyers; the last thing a client needs while struggling through a complex legal situation is to feel judged by their legal representative. I demonstrate compassion when meeting privately with clients, but I can be very aggressive in court.. The right Nashville attorney can make all the difference as you seek reduced criminal charges, a clear driving record, a clean criminal record, or if you’re simply seeking an attorney driven to serve your best interests. Regardless of your legal goal, you can count on me for high-quality legal support in Nashville and surrounding areas. Get in touch today to learn more
