I was born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia and have lived and loved the Hampton Roads area my whole life.  I graduated from law school in 1975 and opened my own practice in 1977.. I am the father of four children and love spending all my free time with my family.. I

I have been practicing law for 16 years. I started my career as a public defender. I then served as a prosecutor for over 10 years. I have tried every type of criminal case from traffic cases like DUI’s to violent crimes like murders. A lot of my practice has been in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. As a prosecutor, I was the supervisor of the JDR team.. I have now expanded my practice to include family law. I handle divorces, child custody and visitation, and child support cases. I also serve as a Guardian ad Litem.. I work hard and I’m dedicated to fighting for my clients!

For nearly twenty years, I have worked in just about every aspect of workers’ compensation.. I started out in a general law practice, representing injured workers in both state and Federal workers’ compensation cases in the state of Alabama. Returning home, I served the Commonwealth of Virginia for a number of years as a Staff Attorney at the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission. In that role, I wrote over 600 Review Opinions for the Commission, served as a mediator in over 100 matters successfully resolved by full and final settlement and served as the Commission Editor of the publication, The Virginia Workers’ Compensation Act, Annotated, 2002 and 2003 Editions. Thereafter, for over a decade, I represented employers and insurers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims. I have been a frequent speaker at workers’ compensation seminars across Virginia.. I now bring this wealth of experience to bear to help injured workers throughout Tidewater and Hampton Roads.

CDR Marshall Griffin, USCG (ret.) graduated from The University of Tennessee in 2001 with a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice. He earned his law degree from Regent University and was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 2014.. As a Coast Guard JAG, he prosecuted numerous felony criminal cases and helped train unit commanders to respond to sexual assault allegations. As Staff Judge Advocate for more than 40 Court-Martial Convening Authorities, CDR Griffin provided advice on hundreds of misconduct cases involving everything from minor misconduct to homicide. CDR Griffin developed a passion for criminal defense while serving a detail at the U.S. Navy Defense Service Office, Southeast, where he gained extensive experience defending members accused of fraud, rape, sexual assault, and a wide variety of drug abuses..
