As a misdemeanor assistant, Michael Botti prosecuted thousands of cases, was the First Chair in a General Misdemeanor courtroom, and was responsible for prosecuting all types of misdemeanor offenses from DUI, retail theft and battery to criminal sexual assault.. As a felony assistant, Michael Botti prosecuted all types of felony cases before being promoted to the Narcotics Unit, where he prosecuted major drug offenses. While in the state’s attorney’s office, Mr. Botti was also involved in training new police officers from all over the State of Illinois. When Mr. Botti left the State’s Attorney’s Office, he was a Second Chair Felony Assistant, and had tried hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases before judges and juries..
