A seasoned litigator, Ryan has practiced law for over seven years and tried over a dozen Workers’ Compensation cases before Commission arbitrators and successfully prosecuted multiple Commission appeals with favorable outcomes for his clients. He does not shy away from taking a case to court if a fair settlement can’t be reached. Prior to joining the firm, Ryan worked at a major Illinois Workers’ Compensation firm and served as a law clerk for the Hon. James McGing (retired), where, among other things, he authored many Workers’ Compensation opinions.

My office also takes matters to the appellate level, having won a reversal of a DUI conviction this past year in a case involving a breath test where the breath test operator was ultimately found not to have been appropriately licensed at the time of testing (People v Caraballo, 2019 IL App (1st) 171993).. Lastly, my office also helps motorists who have lost their driving privileges obtain reinstatement via the Secretary of State hearing process, having won over a dozen such reinstatements in the last year.

She is frequently appointed as a Guardian ad Litem in Cook County, where she is highly respected for her practical approach to difficult situations and her excellent communication skills. Ms. Ramadani is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, where she has served on the ISBA Military Affairs Committee. Shirley also volunteers with Wills for Heroes for the last ten (10) years.
