I graduated Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University School of Law in December of 2011. I was an active member of the Law Review, an elected member of the Student Bar Association, and on the Dean’s List for many semesters. I became a criminal defense attorney because I am intimately familiar with how precious our constitutional rights are. After my arrest years ago, I realized how close I was to being in a situation that could have negatively impacted my life forever. I became a criminal defense attorney to defend people’s constitutional rights. My father was an attorney in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. I admired his passion for helping others. His service as an advocate for people facing prosecution from a powerful government inspired me to become a defense attorney.. I’m fluent in Spanish. This is mainly due to the extensive time I spent living and working in Mexico. During that time, I was actively involved in the community. That helped me better understand culture and language.. I started my legal career as a public defender. During that time, I handled hundreds of cases per year. The charges ranged from misdemeanors to violent felonies. Hayley Potts was born in Yeovil, a small town in southwest England. Before moving to the United States, Hayley graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University Law School with honors in 2010. While in England, Hayley worked with both barristers who worked in the criminal sector and with solicitors in drafting commercial leases, wills and land registration. In September, 2010, Hayley moved to Oklahoma City as part of a pro bono exchange program called Amicus, where English law graduates assist in American capital defense teams. Hayley was placed in the Oklahoma County Public Defenders Office where she worked as an investigator, assisting attorneys on numerous death penalty cases. In August 2011, Hayley began attending Oklahoma City University School of Law to cross-qualify her as an attorney in Oklahoma and has received the Cali Excellence for the Future Award for Legal Profession. She graduated from an expedited course schedule which essentially converted her U.K. legal license to an American bar license, enabling her to practice in both countries. Emilie Kirkpatrick was born and raised in New York City. She attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, where she triple-majored in psychology, religion, and Spanish. While at Wesleyan, Ms. Kirkpatrick worked at the Connecticut Valley Hospital, one of the last state-run mental hospitals. She assisted and advocated for mentally-impaired patients whose afflictions ranged from bipolar Disorder to Schizophrenia to severe drug and alcohol addictions.. Ms. Kirkpatrick came to Oklahoma in 2003 to be closer to her family. Upon arrival, she enrolled at The University of Oklahoma School of Law. All of my life people (family, friends, strangers, etc.) have told me that I should get involved in the practice of law and/or politics. Aaron K. Glover attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a bachelors in business administration.
