My practice focuses on construction law, real estate disputes, and timber trespass.  I have experience representing homeowners, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, community associations and other interested parties in construction defect, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation matters in both Federal and State Courts.. I grew up in Shelton, Washington and now live in the Olympia area with my wife, two young children, and two dogs.  My interests outside of work include skiing, running, hiking/backpacking and exploring the PNW in my 1973 VW Westfalia.

I assisted my first client with writing a will, advance directive, and powers of attorney in 2008, when I was volunteering with King County Volunteer Legal Services. After trying a few other career paths in law and starting a family of my own, I  finally "hung my shingle" so I could help other moderate income families and individuals preserve wealth, pass on values, and feel confident that their final wishes will be honored.. MEDIATION. I began mediating with the the Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) of Thurston County in 2012. Since then, I have mediated dozens of cases and taken a number of advanced mediator trainings. I am skilled at helping parties reach agreements and improve their ability to communicate with one other.. LIFE. I live in Olympia with my husband, daughter, and two cats. In my free moments, I enjoy playing with my daughter, tending to my garden, and daydreaming about going scuba diving again someday.

Ms. Brost started her professional career in nursing, and continued to military social work. She has worked as a family counselor, drug/alcohol specialist, and Guardian ad Litem. Martha is Forest and Environmental Policy Counsel for the Washington Forest Protection Association, a trade association representing private forest landowners in Washington State. Its members include large and small companies, individuals and families who grow, harvest and re-grow trees sustainably on about 4 million acres.. She previously represented the Washington Departments of Fish and Wildlife and Parks on habitat, endangered species, real estate, enforcement, SEPA, and public works matters, as well as advised clients on local land use issues, contracts, conservation opportunities, compliance with forest practices rules, public process, and issues arising under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), the federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and state and federal laws related to threatened, sensitive, and endangered species.. In 2000, I began my law career as a defense attorney working for numerous insurance companies. In this position, I gained extensive trial experience. After suffering a significant injury in 2001 that resulted in 3 years of litigation, I knew I wanted to help others. I knew the support they would need. I also knew that I wanted to provide a personalized experience for each and every case. I wanted to fight just as hard for them as someone had fought for me. I worked at labor-intensive jobs for 12 years before I was injured at work in 1994, and went through the worker's comp process myself, including the vocational process and hearings.  Following closure of my claim, I enrolled in college full-time, got my bacherler's degree and then my law degree.  I wanted to use my personal experience to help others in similar situations.. I am now devoting my practice to 100% personal injury litigation.

I am currently a member of the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ), have served as a chair of the WSAJ Thurston County Roundtable, and have been an Eagle member of WSAJ for many years..
