I was born and raised in Middletown, New York. In 1982 I was admittedto the Florida Bar, and I have been authorized to practice before District Court of the Middle District of Florida since 1983 andbefore the US. Court of Appeals since 1985. I received my B.A. (withhonors) in 1973 and my Ph.D. in 1977 from State University of New Yorkat Binghamton. In 1982 I received my J.D from Cornell University. I wasan editor of the Cornell Law Review and am the author of a book andnumerous articles. After practicing law with many prestigious law firms in Central FloridaI opened my own law firm in 1998. I made the decision to open my ownfirm so that I would have unfettered ability to provide clients withthe level of representation and customer care that I believe eachclient is entitled to.
