I graduated from Westfield High School and then attended the Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, MA as a post-graduate. I continued on to Trinity College in Hartford, CT where I received  a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.. Following in the footsteps of two of my older brothers, I attended the Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, MA.  I  graduated from law school in 1993.. During my last year of law school I was asked by the Hampden County District Attorney to become a “3:03” prosecutor, which allowed me to actually prosecute criminal trials even before graduating from law school.  I conducted approximately 30 criminal trials before graduating from law school.. After graduating and passing the bar exam (yes, I passed it on the first attempt), I became a full-time prosecutor in the Hampden County District Attorney’s office, in order to get as much jury trial experience as I could before going into private practice.. I engaged in approximately 100 trials and other criminal litigation hearings as a prosecutor, mostly in the Holyoke District Court.. In 1994, I went into private practice with a small firm in Springfield, MA.. Along with a large criminal defense practice, I began my civil litigation career, handling everything from car accident personal injury cases to contract disputes.. Crissa is an attorney, conciliator, and mediator at Michael I. Flores, PC. She works with clients in all aspects of domestic relations litigation, including divorce, custody, support, alimony, asset division, removals, contempts, and modifications. In addition, Crissa is a trained conciliator and mediator and ahe offers dispute resolution services for parties in domestic relations matters. Prior to joining the firm, Crissa worked as a judicial law clerk for the justices of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court in the Barnstable, Bristol, Middlesex, and Plymouth divisions. As a law clerk, she assisted the judges with high-quality legal research and writing for complex domestic relations, probate, and equity matters.. A 2014 graduate of New England Law | Boston, Crissa was a recipient of the Sandra Day O’Connor merit scholarship. She was a judicial intern at the Middlesex Probate and Family Court and at the Administrative Office of the Probate and Family Court, and she worked at a small civil litigation firm in Boston. Prior to law school, Crissa served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at a non-profit in Boston. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in History, from Providence College, where she was a member of the Liberal Arts Honors Program.. Crissa is the Chair of the Family Law Section Council for the Massachsuetts Bar Association; the President of the Barnstable County Bar Association for the 2024-2025 association year; and she is the former Chair of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the BCBA. Crissa has co-chaired the MBA's annual Family Law Conference since 2021, and she has chaired, moderated, and participated in panels for the MBA and BCBA.
