(magazine), The Kansas City Star, , The Business Journal of Kansas City, KC Small Business and Ingram’s. In addition, Kyle serves on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Financial Planning.. Kyle has provided continuing education instruction to fellow attorneys, accountants and financial professionals at local, regional and national programs. In addition, he is a frequent public speaker on the subject of Estate Planning to a wide variety of lay audiences. Prior to entering private practice, Kyle served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps from 1984 to 1989, in West Germany (see photo).. Kyle and his wife, Gretchen, have been married since 1981, and have three daughters. He serves on the Board of Elders at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Kyle is an Associate Instructor with Walk Thru the Bible Ministries, presenting Old Testament and New Testament live events in local churches. He served as a Commissioner on the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission from 2011 until 2024, and has been a volunteer Attorney Advisor for Kansas City Hospice since 1997. When his schedule permits, you may find Kyle on family property outside Mound City, Kansas, tromping around in the woods or sitting on the creek bank. He is a lousy golfer.
