Nonie Ferguson is a managing partner of Just Law, LLC. Nonie has been a practicing attorney since graduating from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2012. Post law school, Nonie practiced in the area of criminal defense as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County, Florida. Nonie started her career  at the Public Defenders Office representing alleged juvenile offenders in the juvenile justice system in Florida. Thereafter, Nonie was promoted to the felony criminal trial division and represented accused first, second, and third degree felony offenders. Nonie's time as a litigation attorney with the Public Defender's office has garnered her with an immense amount of trial, litigation, negotiation and legal writing experience.. In February of 2016 Nonie moved from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Utah and and began working for the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts as their Domestic Violence Program Coordinator. As the Domestic Violence Program Coordinator, Nonie was a point of contact for Judges, Commissioners, court staff, and court patrons on all domestic violence related issues. Nonie assisted in developing and interpreting policies, procedures, rules and regulations as they applied to the courts and domestic violence. She also created and implemented state wide trainings for Utah Judges on relevant domestic violence and family law statutory changes, case law changes and policy changes. While working with the Administrative Office of the Courts Nonie was studying for the Utah Bar Exam. My husband and I have our own practice in Old Town, Park City, Utah.  We specialize in estate planning, probate litigation, business organization and general counsel for small businesses, real estate work (transactional and litigation), and Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies.  We also help those individuals charged with low-level crimes (mostly DUI and possession related charges).  We take pride in our attention to detail and the personal touch that we provide to each and every client.  We are also very fair in our billing practices and we don't "nickel and dime" our clients.  In our down time, we like to ski, mountain bike and hang out with our dogs.  We are also dedicated to helping two non-profit organizations each year with legal needs.

Laja is an experienced attorney having practiced law for over 20 years. She received her bachelor's degree from Scripps College in California and obtained her law degree from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. She was a former prosecutor in the Arizona handling major crimes in the family violence unit. She has also served as a City Prosecutor in Colorado handling cases involving abused and neglected children. She has had a private practice in both Arizona and Colorado representing adults and juveniles in criminal, juvenile, civil and appellate matters. She is thrilled to have opened a practice here in Utah serving the residents of Park City and the surrounding areas. She brings knowledge, compassion and dedication to every case she handles.

I have been involved in real estate for a majority of my life and developed a passion for all things real estate at a young age. Even as a teenager, I worked for a real estate investor who bought and sold real property all over the western United States. Prior to law school, I worked as a real estate agent in Park City working on several new projects. That interest carried into law school where I focused entirley on real estate, land use, zoning, and business law matters. I love what I do and especially where I live, which provides unfettered access to the ski resorts, hiking trails, lakes, and some of the best fishing I have ever experienced.

I have extensive homeowners’ association and condominium law experience representing associations, owners, and developers.  I represent numerous homeowner and condominium associations and have experience drafting new rules and regulations, amending and updating CC&Rs, helping boards with corporate governance and proper decision making, helping board members understand relevant laws, enforcing restrictive covenants, and representing associations in litigation. On the homeowner side, have successfully represented homeowners in disputes against HOAs on a variety of matters including claims for and against arbitrary and capricious enforcement, reasonable accommodation under the Fair Housing Act, fights over rental restrictions, disputing imposition of thousands of dollars in fines for alleged violations, and failure to follow the CC&Rs..
