“I hope I never need to call you.” I have heard that response many times throughout my career when introducing myself as a bankruptcy attorney. The unfortunate reality of our current economic times is that often people do. Many people today are facing financial challenges that they never expected to, and are afraid and unsure of where to turn for help. If you are in debt, being sued, losing your home, facing garnishments or repossessions, I am here to help you. With proper advice and representation you can solve your debt problems, save your home and other assets and get a fresh start to put you back on the road to financial freedom. “Stand up for your rights. Don’t give up the fight.” – Bob MarleyYour bank has an attorney, and you should too. I have dedicated my life and professional career to helping you, the consumer. Too often we read in the news about banks breaking laws to steamroll the consumer. The little guy often feels helpless and lost when facing big banks, corporations and debt collectors. I will fight to keep you in your home, save your assets, and make sure there is a level playing field. In my 16 years of experience as a bankruptcy attorney I have learned that most of my clients are good people that have fallen on hard times. Job loss, divorce, medical issues, or bad investments are the main reasons for bankruptcy. None of us really plan for these things to happen, but they just do. We can’t change the cards we are dealt, but we can change how we play the hand. Planning your bankruptcy case takes the skill, knowledge and expertise that is unique to our law firm. Each case brings its own set of circumstances. There is no “cookie cutter” bankruptcy. I am sensitive to each clients’ needs and issues. We are a dedicated team of professionals who know how to navigate through complex Bankruptcy laws and the court system. Your case is our priority. I graduated from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law School in 1997, after earning my undergraduate degree from Lehigh University in 1994. In 1997, I took my first law job as a bankruptcy attorney for one of the local Chapter 7 panel trustees, where I gained invaluable experience working on all phases of bankruptcy litigation. Building on that experience, I entered private practice because I knew I wanted to represent the consumer. I have the knowledge and experience to file any type of bankruptcy case, from the simplest to the most complex. I have successfully handled thousands of Chapter 7 and 13 cases, representing both individuals and businesses. I provide personalized, compassionate and aggressive representation because I know that filing for bankruptcy can be one of the most difficult decisions you will ever make. My goal is to provide you with cost effective and efficient legal services to obtain the best possible result in your bankruptcy case. I will plan a strategy for your case to obtain the fresh start that you need.

In the 25 years that I have practiced law in Florida, all have been in litigated matters and I am proud to have achieved the highest rating from and amongst my peers and clients. For a quarter century, I have had the privilege of representing plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death matters stemming from aircrashes, motorcycle, automoble, bicycle, parasailing, banana boating, cruise ship, toxic mold, negligent security and other accident / personal injury related cases. I have handled products liability cases for plaintiffs dealing with pool pumps, pool designs, aircraft engines, airplane and helicopter components and systems. I regularly am engaged to represent United States citizens who are injured in other countries or other countries' citizens who are injured here in the States. I am keenly aware of and experieced in dealing with jurisdictional, venue related and choice of law issues that arise in these international and complex cases. I am licensed to practice in all Florida and Federal Courts and am well versed in the procedures in both. One of my most frequent and appreciated compliments from clients (in addition to referrals they make of me to their friends and acquaintences), is how they appreciate the personal attention and time I (not just my staff) give them, and of equal importance, the time I take to educate them on their case so that they could better understand what was happening and why.
I have been practicing Criminal Law for over thirty five years, as a former Public Defender in Canada, and a former prosecutor in Broward County Florida.. My private practice started in 1983 and I devote myself to Criminal Law almost exclusively. I have three (3) law degrees,. I grew extremely interested in the field of Criminal Law while I attended law school. I was fortunate to be one of three law students who was selected for a summer job with the Provincial Police (much like Florida’s Highway Patrol whose jurisdiction is State wide) where I helped create a manual which set out all the elements of crimes that was to as a guideline for the Police. It was a tremendous experience, and I never left the field of Criminal Law.. After that summer I “clerked” with a law firm that only accepted criminal cases, and thereafter went on to work as a Public Defender in Montreal’s main P.D.’s office. I came to Florida in1979, enrolled at Nova’s law school and shortly after graduation joined the Broward State Attorney’s Office. From there I went into private practice with a partner for twelve years and then opened my own practice where I have been on my on my own since 1997.. My practice has taken me to various locations in Florida, but now I primarily confine my cases to Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach counties. I will travel if the case warrants it and if it is of sufficient interest to me.. I believe that every lawyer should aspire to zealously and ethically represent each of his clients, and I strive to carry out these goals with every one of my clients. This is what they should expect, and these are my duties to them. These are the obligations that direct and drive my practice of law.. I look forward to hearing from you, and will do my utmost to answer your questions.
