A predecessor firm, also known as Clifford and Clifford, was founded in 1915 in Lewiston by our grandfather and his brother. It existed for nearly a century, until 2000, and included a number of judges and public service oriented attorneys. I have been practicing law in Maine since 2007 with a focus on real property and small business issues.  I provide personal service at a reasonable rate.. Real estate services include purchase and sale matters; easements, right-of-ways and boundary issues; landlord / tenant assistance and evictions.  Ownership succession and management issues.. For small business I assist with formation of LLCs and corporations.  Contract drafting, review and disputes.. My office is in the historic State Theatre Building in downtown Portland.  We are on the 5th floor, and there is elevator access from both the 142 High Street and 615 Congress Street entrances.  The office looks over Congress Street and the Portland Museum of Art.

Miles joined Epstein & O'Donovan on a full-time basis in the fall of 2016, having practiced in the areas of estate planning and probate and trust administration and elder law at Dow's Law Office, P.A. since 2008.. Miles is very active in local non-profit organizations. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice. In addition to serving on this board, Miles has served on the Executive Committee, as Chairman of the Planned Giving Committee and on the Foundation Committee.. Miles was born and raised in Cumberland, Maine, attending Greely High School. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Dickinson College in 2004, where he played varsity baseball for 4 years. While at the Maine School of Law, he was a regional finalist in the National Trial Competition held at University of North Carolina.. He currently lives in Cumberland, Maine with his wife, two children and two dogs. He coaches varsity baseball at his alma mater, Greely High School, and is an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He is also very active in the Barbershop Harmony Society, singing with the Downeasters men's chorus and his own championship barbershop quartet, Exchange Street.
