John graduated from the University of Chicago Law School with Honors in 1998.  While at the University of Chicago, he was a member of the University of Chicago Law Review and wrote a note for the University of Chicago Legal Forum entitled "Genetics and Justice: An Indigent Defendant's Right to DNA Expert Assistance."  After graduation, John served for one year as a law clerk for Judge Ed Carnes, a federal appeals court judge in Montgomery, Alabama, and then for another year as a law clerk for Judge Shira Scheindlin, a federal trial judge in New York City.. Jason Kafoury is a graduate of Tulane Law. He became a member of the Oregon State Bar in 2009. After his first week of law school, Jason was forced to evacuate Hurricane Katrina and ended up completing the 2005 fall semester at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. When he returned to Tulane, Jason helped lead the Moot Court Trial team to finish third in the nation out of 224 law schools at the American Association for Justice’s annual competition. I was born in the mountains outside of Wolf Creek in rural Josephine County.  I grew up in Ashland and am a proud graduate of Ashland Middle School and Ashland High School..
