I have worked as a criminal defense lawyer since passing the Oregon State Bar in 2011. The majority of my cases are privately retained, however, I have also worked as a court-appointed attorney in Multnomah County. After working as an associate at a private law firm I opened my own practice, where I serve clients in Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington Counties. My criminal defense practice has included defending a huge variety of felony and misdemenor cases, although I have developed a real specialty in DUI defense and have a reputation in town as a tough DUI defense attorney.. I have represented individuals charged with harrassment, assault, forgery, felony possession of a controlled substance, criminal mischief and reckless driving. I have succesfully brought motions to supress evidence that resulted in the dismissal of criminal charges.. My office is in downtown Portland and we handle both civil and criminal matters. On the civil side, my practice consists of divorce, family law and child custody. I have worked as a family law attorney since becoming a lawyer and have extensive experience in all three counties. I am a trial-tested and agressive lawyer in court when you need it, but I can also negotiate an equitable settlement at a low cost to you.. I've lived in Oregon for 8 years and love being an Oregonian. I moved here in 2008 and received my law degree from Lewis and Clark. Instead of returning to Illinois, my wife and I got married and we decided to stay in Oregon. For fun, we take our dog hiking near hood river or for a run on the beach at the Oregon Coast.
