The first time I stepped in front of a jury, I knew I'd found my calling.  I'm a trial lawyer. I try cases because I enjoy helping ordinary people who have been hurt or wronged by another person, a product, or a corporation. I truly care about my clients and their cause, and I welcome the opportunity to hear about your case.. I've been fortunate to win many trials early in my career, and it's through those successes that I have leverage to negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of my clients before we decide to go to trial.  Most people, including some lawyers, don't understand that without a track record of wins at trial, a lawyer has no stock-in-trade to negotiate settlements or truly understand the value of a case.  In an age where most attorneys rarely see the inside of the courtroom, I am in a rather unique position in this regard.  Please feel free to contact me to discuss your case.

Joe is a successful trial attorney and younger half of the father/son team at Piucci Law.  A former Public Defender with extensive trial experience,  he understands what moves a jury and what motivates a judge to rule in his clients’ favor.. Please visit our web site . I represent people and families in personal injury and wrongful death cases.  My specialties include pedestrian and bicycle law, and representation of foster children and other children in physical or sexual abuse and neglect cases.  The remainder of my caseload is a general personal injury practice.  The majority of my firm's cases are defended by large insurance companies that are trying to save money on claims at the expense of a person who is least able to afford it.  I earned my J.D. at Harvard Law School in 2001.  I volunteer with Oregon Walks, which is Oregon's pedestrian safety organization, and serve on the City of Portland Pedestrian Advisory Committee.  In Portland, Oregon where I live, nearly one half of all traffic fatalities are people walking or using mobility devices.  We need more advocacy and awareness to make our streets safe for everyone.  I have served as a safe streets advocate in various capacities since 1992 when I served on what was then the Oregon Bicycle Advisory Committee.  I enjoy competitive cycling (cat 2 road) and spending time with my family.

She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Willamette University College of Law and attended Oregon State University for her Bachelor of Science degree.. This belief translates to a zealous advocacy and putting her client in the center of her focus when creating a litigation strategy.. Outside of work, Ms. Lemieux enjoys volunteering and is currently the Director of the Salem Imprint Program and a board member for Distinguished Young Women of Oregon. My law practice emphasizes personal injury and workers’ compensation law. One of my primary jobs is to take care of my client’s legal hassles, so they can take care of recovering from their injuries. I keep my practice small so my clients get the attention they need and deserve. When a client calls, they talk directly to me. My experience with the law started at the age of 12 when I went to work at my father’s law firm making deliveries to the post office, bank and taking documents to the courthouse on my bike. I grew up going to legal seminars and helping my dad prepare cases. I started practicing with my father in 1988 in Eugene, Oregon, where my primary focus was on helping people who were injured through no fault of their own. In 1998 I moved to Portland. Since then I have worked with Dean Heiling. I continue to practice personal injury and workers’ compensation law. I have been married to my wonderful wife since 1990. She is an oil painting artist.  I have two amazing daughters. My oldest is a Neuroscience major from the Collge of Wooster. She plans on being a research scientist. My youngest graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS in Sociology. She plans on getting her masters in Sociology and then going to law school.. I love cooking, traveling, volunteer work and spending as much time as possible with my family.
