In addition to being an attorney, I am a wife and mother of four busy children. As a parent, I know how busy life can be. In trying to balance work, family responsibilities, and children’s school and extracurricular activities, we sometimes procrastinate doing really important things, like making sure our spouses and children are protected in the event of our incapacity or death. In fact, most parents I meet have not prepared a will or legally named a guardian for their minor children. The reasons vary, but it’s often a combination of not wanting to think about an emotional painful subject, lacking the time and energy to get it done, and fearing that an attorney’s services will simply cost too much.As both a mother and an attorney, I understand the unique legal needs of families. I know that all parents, regardless of their net worth, need comprehensive estate planning to ensure their wishes are followed and their families are protected. And I find great personal and professional satisfaction in helping parents create estate plans that provide them with that peace of mind. With these considerations in mind, I understand the time and financial constraints families face. So rather than having to schedule an appointment with me in my office during regular business hours, the mobile-based nature of my firm allows my clients to communicate with me any time it is convenient for them through a secure Internet web page. Also, because I maintain a modest office space, I am able to keep my overhead low and provide my clients high quality legal services at very reasonable rates.. As for my qualifications, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Brigham Young University. This was followed by a law degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School, at Brigham Young University in 2000. While in law school, I was selected as a member of the Order of the Barristers, an honorary fraternity that recognizes outstanding achievement in legal advocacy. I received my licenses to practice law in Arizona (2000) and Utah in 2002.. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband and children, biking, hiking and reading.

I have been practicing law since 2005. I hold a law degree and a master's degree in computer science. I am a member of the Utah bar, the California bar, and am also a licensed patent attorney and hold a real estate license. I run a technology business on the side of my law practice. I speak several languages and have many interests. I am not the sort of lawyer who became a lawyer because I like to pick fights. In fact, I didn't become interested in law until I realized that lawyers are meant to be problem-solvers. That is what appealed to me, and to this day, what I enjoy most about being a lawyer is taking people who have gotten into bad, scary, or confusing situations, giving them clear explanations and helping them choose their next steps wisely. I don't mind the arguing and fighting either, so long as it helps solve problems.

Assertive and Zealous Legal Representation. FREE CONSULTATIONS: Listen, we understand finding legal help can be difficult. STRAIGHT FORWARD ADVICE: At our law firm, we believe that open and honest communication is essential to finding success. If you decide to work with us, we’ll always be straight with you.. Our Strengths Set Us Apart: There are several benefits in working with our litigation attorney in St. George & Provo, UT. Hereare a few.. Our Attitude about the Practice of LawThe philosophy of Heideman & Associates can be boiled down to four words: we like to win. We understand that when it comes to the bottom-line, clients want to hire a law firm that will obtain the very best possible results through hard work and dedication. We also know that what we do as attorneys can seriously impact the lives of our clients. Our results become our reputation —and so it becomes a matter of personal pride that we do everything we can to prevail in litigation. With respect to our transactional work (for example, contract drafting, wills, estates, trusts, etc.), we take the time and care to coordinate with our clients to assess their specific needs and then produce the very best documents and work product.. We Are Litigators and Results-Oriented.. Our initial goal is to thoroughly understand the types of problems and issues our clients face. We start out by working to understand precisely what you need so we can offer advice on the best approach to meet those needs. As experienced litigators, we offer a reliable perspective on how a matter might resolve if it ultimately went to trial. If possible, we like to solve problems before they escalate—because this means our clients have to pay less and worry less. If a dispute cannot be avoided, we will use our experience and skill to provide you with assertive and informed legal representation.. We also work with a network of nonlegal professionals to make sure we see the bigger picture and offer reasonable solutions. We strive to ensure the fees we charge are in line with the results we achieve. The reality is that we want long-term clients who can trust us to assist them regardless of the situation or circumstance.. We Enjoy the Practice of Law and Work to be Inventive. The attorneys at Heideman & Associates enjoy the challenge of practicing law and enjoy seeing clients satisfied with our legal efforts. We are also creative and always look for ways to solve problems from every legitimate angle. Sometimes we are required to think “outside the box” and find good faith ways to argue your legal position or resolve your concerns. We treat each matter as a fresh opportunity to craft a new and better solution to keep up with the ever changing landscape of the law.. We are comfortable with and proficient in the areas of both transactional law and litigation.Heideman & Associates is a litigation firm with years of experience representing clients in pre-trial, trial, and post trial matters. We handle litigation in a wide variety of legal areas including business law, securities, real estate, municipal/state/civil rights litigation, employment law, contract law and personal injury. Furthermore, we can meet your many legal needs as they pertain to the areas of business formation, venture-capital raises, contracts, entertainment law, wills, estates and trusts.. The practice of law is only one of my many passions.  For instance, I along with a group of others have created three legal based applications:. LORA. LORA HD. LORA COURTROOM. all of these are currently available on ITunes.  The first two are particularly helpful to non-lawyers.  The third, LORA COURTROOM is a trial presentation app.. In addition to techonogy I deeply enjoy collecting things.  I have photographs of my many hunting and fishing expeditions.  In particular I enjoy hunting and fishing in Alaska.  I also have momentos from the different places I have travelled; either as a lawyer or with my wife and children.. Additionally, I collect pens.  I have a former client that is a master woodworker.  He travels regularly, and when he does he obtains a piece of wood native to the country he has visited.  When he returns he handcrafts a pen for me out of that special piece of wood.. I also love books.  As a young child I learned to love reading.  When I graduated from Law School, my wife gave me a gift I truly treasure; the 100 greatest books ever written collection from Easton Press. This collection is housed in my office for all to see.. Of course no man is an island, and pictures of my five wonderful children and amazing wife are also prominently displayed.  It is a sad reality that attorneys spend far more time in their office than they do just about any other place.  I am no exception to this rule.  Still, I am greatly blessed to be able to see the people I care about the most in this world by just changing the focus of my gaze.. Of course, a visitor will also see my putting green and golf clubs that unfortunately gather far to much dust between uses.  Still, they serve as a reminder that a bright sunny day awaits.  I love to practice law, it is a noble and fulfilling profession.  It is however the means to the real ends of building a life.  Fortunately, I have a tremendous staff and associate attorneys that help me accomplish just that.
