There, he studied a variety of types of substantive law, most notably criminal law, international human rights law, immigration law, and civil rights law. Matthew served as Editor-in-Chief of the Duke Journal of Gender Law and Politics in from 2017 to 2018, and worked as a member of Duke University's International Human Rights Law Clinic during his third year.After graduating law school, Matthew settled in Monmouth County, and completed a clerkship in New Jersey Superior Court.
