Having seen the results of non-planning or poor planning resulting in extensive litigation, Candace is passionate about ensuring a person’s wishes are known, understood, and carried out after death.. Her estate planning includes creating, amending, and reviewing wills, simple and tax-planning trusts, powers of attorney for finance and healthcare, and healthcare directives; and consulting on the best legal strategies for providing for individual and family financial protection.. Candace’s probate work includes handling uncontested and contested probates for estates with or without a valid will, while representing beneficiaries, heirs, personal representatives or creditors. Her work in real estate has included quiet title and foreclosure, residential and commercial lease drafting and litigation, and creation and review of various real property documents.. In Illinois, Austin worked for several prominent corporations as in-house counsel. As an associate attorney of Ortiz & Gosalia, PLLC, I provide legal services in the areas of immigration and tax controversy. I received my Master’s Degree in Tax Law (LL.M.) from the University of Washington in 2016, where I  focused on both individual and corporate taxation.  While pursuing my Master’s degree, I served as volunteer with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Rural Tax Program through the University of Washington. Before my LL.M., I attended law school in Mexico City, and received my Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). I maintain my credentials to practice law in Washington State and Mexico.

Angelina Marques is a dedicated advocate for immigrant, women, and worker’s rights. She has been working closely with immigrant communities since high school and has spent years working with students with limited English proficiency. She studied abroad in Madrid, Spain and Guadalajara, Mexico, and interned in Jinotepe, Nicaragua, where she advocated against domestic violence. She later interned at East Bay Sanctuary Covenant, an immigrant rights organization in Berkeley, California.. While a student at Seattle University School of Law, she interned at the Alaska Immigration Justice Project, provided legal representation through Seattle U.’s Immigration Law Clinic, and advocated for farm worker rights in central Washington. She also externed with the Honorable Carol A. Schapira at King County Superior Court, and with the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services. After law school, Angelina enjoyed volunteering with Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, where she provided assistance on asylum, DACA, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status cases.. Angelina is fluent in English and Spanish, and enjoys volunteering as an attorney El Centro De La Raza’s Legal Clinic and the Snohomish County Legal Services’ Housing Justice Project.
