Michael has represented numerous businesses, including a publishing company where he advised on intellectual property matters, talent acquisition, and compliance. Through this area of work, he was retained by a fan-fiction author to negotiate a licensing deal with Ben Affleck’s attorney. Michael also worked at Brigham Young University - Idaho, negotiating the school’s large software purchases, managing and closing domestic and international agreements, and advising on strategic budgetary issues. By so doing, he was able to facilitate the school’s imperatives of lowering relative costs while serving more students and increasing educational quality.. Mark was born and raised in the Rexburg, Idaho area. After serving in the Army on active duty, he attended Brigham Young University – Idaho and earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a Psychology minor in 2015. He then attended Gonzaga University’s School of Law and School of Business where he graduated cum laude with a dual-degree Juris Doctor / Master of Taxation in 2018. In law school, he interned with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, and worked as a student attorney in the Gonzaga University Tax Clinic where he represented clients against the IRS. He also served as Vice-President of the Gonzaga chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.. Mark started his legal career by helping establish and run a mental health clinic in the Boise, Idaho area, helping the clinic through formation and into periods of rapid growth, navigating the requirements of employment law, tax law, HIPPA, insurance, and contracting.
