Jeffrey Howard was born and raised in North Carolina, just down the highway in Fayetteville, NC. He was the crazy kid on the bright BMX bike doing tricks that should have killed him but miraculously failed in their mission. He and his wife and child live in the forests of Orange County.. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a Bachelor's Degree with a double major in History (focus on Dark Age England) and Peace, War, and Defense (focus on National Security, before 9/11 and before it was the cool thing to do).. He then pursued and was awarded the degree of Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he graduated with Honors. Jeffrey has lived in Orange County since 1993, and is a member of the 15B (Orange County and Chatham County) Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association, and is admitted to practice law in North Carolina by the North Carolina State Bar. He has been handling almost exclusively Personal Injury claims, Workers’ Compensation claims, and traffic tickets since he was licensed to practice law in 2001, though pharmacy prescription error claims have become a fair part of his practice as well. He is a certified Superior Court Mediator with the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission and a Workers’ Compensation Mediator certified by the NC Industrial Commission. His office is at the end of Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, North Carolina but he represents clients all over the state.. When he’s not fighting for his clients, he’s fighting for fun. Jeffrey trains in Gracie Jiu Jitsu as well as Progressive Fighting Systems and enjoys training and teaching self-defense and occasionally competing in grappling/submission competitions.. He had a Boxer named Nietzsche until he sadly left this world in 2007, going down in history as the best dog ever. His current canine protégés are a Boxer named Albe and a French Bulldog named Prunella. They’re pretty alright so far. We’ll see how they work out.
I have enjoyed the privilege of representing individuals, families, and businesses throughout North Carolina for over 20 years. I look forward to continuing to provide competent, conscientious, and ethical legal services to our firm's clients in the years ahead.. When I'm not in court or in the office, I love to hang out with my family or play bass in my bluegrass/old time string band, the Guilty Pleasures. Everyone needs balance in their lives, and playing music helps keep me sane. Most of the time, anyway.
