I have been working in Benton and Caroll County for six years, representing clients charged with misdemeanors and felonies. In those 6 years I have worked diligently to defend hundreds of clients. I believe that criminal defense work can be both rewarding and humbling. My experience in some of the busiest courts in Arkansas has allowed me to work on all kinds of criminal cases, from minor traffic offenses to more serious felonies, including serious drug charges, rape and aggravated robbery charges. Having grown up in a family with other attorneys I knows how hard you have to work to win cases. I believe that through hard work you can create the little bit of luck, that is sometimes needed to win a case.

I am proud to be a native Arkansan and lover of the Ozarks. I grew up in Morning Star, Arkansas, near the Buffalo National River, but have made Northwest Arkansas my home since attending college at the University of Arkansas. I graduated with an honors degree in English from the U of A in 2002, and completed law school at the University of Arkansas in 2005.    After law school, I worked for a brief time at Blanchard Springs Caverns as a tour guide before joining a local criminal defense firm. My practice focused mainly on criminal defense, appellate cases, and civil rights. While at the firm, I also contributed to a legal handbook and accompanied my employer on speaking engagements on both the east and west coasts. During this time, I was elected, and still serve, on the board of the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. I also currently serve as president of the Buffalo River Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving the Buffalo National River, and on the Committee of 100, a group dedicated to supporting the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. Both of these boards support causes near and dear to my heart, and on the weekends you will often find my daughter and me on the river or listening to folk/bluegrass music. I consider it a privilege to help clients through difficult legal times, and understand the toll a change in familial circumstances can take on an individual.
