Catherine Knight grew up in Atlanta, and she attended The Westminster Schools, alpha-omega.  Catherine graduated cum laude from Princeton University.  At Emory University School of Law, where she was a Woodruff Scholar and served on the executive committee of and was published by the Emory Law Journal, Catherine's grades landed her within the top ten students of her class, and she graduated with distinction..
