Steven Brand graduated cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, achieving distinction there as a member of the Order of the Coif. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He was a member of the prosecution team in the case of former U.S. House of Representatives Whip and Majority Leader, Tom DeLay. Mr. Brand’s cases have been reported by the Los Angeles Times, 590 AM KLBJ Austin, San Antonio Talk Radio, the Austin American Statesman, and Sky News in England. He has been featured on the cable channel Investigation Discovery’s show “Deadly Sins.” He has lectured to psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and other lawyers. He has participated in training conducted by the United States Secret Service’s National Computer Forensics Institute.. He is a member of the board of directors of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association and has lectured to criminal defense lawyers for the State Bar of Texas.
