There are two qualities I bring to my practice which I believe are of great benefit to my clients---compassion and creativity.  My clients are not a commodity or a business transaction.  They are real people with real problems and I take the time to get to know them and understand how their lives have been changed by the negligence of others.  I use my creativity to think outside the box and find ways to help people prevail against the odds.  I get really excited when a legal theory comes to mind that will help a client win a tough case or when I unearth evidence that gives my client the edge they need to win.. I am married to Erin and we have two daughters, Isabelle and Ella Mae.  We enjoy biking, hiking, working in the yard and church activities.  We attend McCarthy Baptist Church in St. Joseph and serve in a number of roles there.

I am a trial lawyer with extensive jury trial experience in state and federal courts. My practice is somewhat unique in that while I have considerable jury trial experience I also have extensive bench trial experience in the area of matrimonial law. My experience extends to a wide range of civil disputes, such as: medical malpractice, complex commercial cases, product liability claims, personal injury actions, wrongful death claims and complex divorce litigation, including disputes involving substanial marital estates and custody litigation.
