Subsequently, Meghan joined the Capital Division of the MSPD, contributing to the defense of several clients facing the death penalty.. For the Federal Public Defenders, Meghan was honored as one of two students selected to serve in a year-long clerkship on the research and writing team – a group solely focused on written legal advocacy through motions, briefs, and memoranda.  In her tenure at the Federal PDs, after tenaciously arguing through hundreds of pages of briefing and memoranda, Meghan successfully obtained a ruling suppressing evidence that was collected in violation of a defendant’s Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment rights.. Before commencing her law studies, Meghan worked as the founding coordinator of the Learning Center at Chamberlain College of Nursing, which provided tutoring and academic assistance to students. Martin Daesch attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale for his undergraduate degree, graduating in 1987 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance. He then became a CPA in 1989 while attending law school at St. Louis University, graduating in 1992. I was born and raised to represent individuals who have been needlessly injured. I mean that literally. At a young age my father would tell me about the clients he was representing. I would meet them and take pride in their admiration of my father. I always knew I wanted to be a lawyer and represent clients that needed my help. I was an athlete in high school playing both football and track. I then went to undergrad at the University of Missouri where I could enjoy my passion for Mizzou sports up close.  After obtaining my degree in Business Administration I went to St. Louis University for Law School. I knew I wanted to be in court so after law school I obtained a job working at the Circuit Attorney’s Office in the City of St. Louis.   It was at the Circuit Attorney’s Office that I was able to hone my trial skills while representing victims of crime. At the Circuit Attorney’s Office, I tried over 50 cases starting with simple assaults and then eventually murder cases. I presided over the Grand Jury and was head of the Bomb and Arson unit. In 2011, I was honored with the Circuit Attorney “Trial Star” for winning every jury trial I tried that year. After 4 years at the Circuit Attorney’s Office, I was offered a job at Leritz, Plunkert & Bruning. Now I represent individuals in Missouri and Illinois in all types of personal injury matters. In my short time here I have obtained a judgment for $2.5 million and settled a large class action lawsuit for a confidential amount. I try to give back to community when I can.  I started the Downtown Neighborhood Watch Group and raise money for Multiple Sclerosis.  I have been named National Multiple Sclerosis Corporate Achiever for my fund raising efforts. Since then, I have obtained multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements at Carey Danis & Lowe, including a $105 million jury verdict involving the explosive separation of a multi-piece wheel against Firestone which was the largest verdict in Missouri that year, a $4.5 million jury verdict against medical Engineering Corporation for a defective breast implant, a $2.1 million settlement involving a trucking accident, a $1.1 million verdict in a motorcycle accident case, a $1.1 million verdict in a trucking accident case, a $1 million judgment in underinsured motorist case, plus many other successes. I have a long-standing history of community outreach and I thoroughly enjoy helping fellow members of our community. I volunteer regularly and even started a Mentor program at the local juvenile detention center.
