During Dan’s fifth semester of law school, he taught himself Italian and subsequently finished law school in Italy, at the University of Rome, where he took his final semester in Italian, studying European comparative and private Italian law.. Dan earned his undergraduate degrees from Missouri State University in 2010 with a B.S. in both International Business and Spanish. He also had the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Valencia, Spain at the Universidad Politécnica in 2008.. While in law school Dan spent numerous hours in courtrooms and judges’ chambers as he served as a judicial intern under the following three judges:  (1) the Honorable Sarah W. Hays of the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, (2) the Honorable David M. Byrn for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, and (3) the Honorable Kenneth R. Garrett III for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri. While working under these judges, Dan had the opportunity to observe some of the finest attorneys in the legal profession argue trials, hearings, and mediations. At that time, Dan also worked as a law clerk for Troppito + Miller where he predominantly assisted with matters relating to: contractual disputes, real property, consumer/general fraud, collections, bankruptcy, and adversary proceedings of various sorts within bankruptcies.. Dan began his legal career as a volunteer at the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association (“SMBA”) in order to gain exposure to the legal profession.  While working at the SMBA, he met several prominent attorneys that recommended the Springfield, Missouri civil defense powerhouse, Turner, Reid, Duncan, Loomer, & Patton, P.C., where he subsequently found a job and worked as an investigator until he moved to Kansas City for law school. At Turner Reid, Dan provided support for the attorneys to facilitate the defense of negligence, products liability, medical malpractice, and insurance claims cases.. Dan is currently licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas state courts as well as the Western District of Missouri federal courts.

Criminal defense has been Jen's passion since she was in college. She graduated magna cum laude from Bellarmine University with degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice Studies.. Once she entered law school, Jen immediately got involved in community organizations that focused helping those affected by the criminal justice system. Through SLU’s Street Law Organization, she taught classes across St. Louis City at Confluence Academy, the Juvenile Justice Center, and the City Justice Center. These classes varied, focusing on everything from basic informing students on their basic legal rights to semester-long criminal law and criminal procedure courses. She also volunteers with Criminal Justice Ministry, a local organization that supports and empowers individuals impacted by incarceration. This volunteer work has helped Jen develop the skills needed to lead with empathy while being an effective proponent for her clients.. Throughout law school, Jen was the recipient of multiple Academic Achievement Awards, one being in Legal Research & Writing. She also competed on SLU Law’s National Trial Competition Team. For practical experience, she first interned with the State of Missouri Public Defenders in the Civil Commitment Defense Unit and then participated in SLU Law’s Criminal Defense Clinic. These experiences have given Jen opportunities to advocate at every stage of the criminal process.. Jen graduated from St. Louis University School of Law in the top 25% of her class and with a concentration in Criminal Litigation Skills. Upon graduation and admittance to the Missouri Bar, Jen has spent the last 7 years working at criminal defense firms and handles state and appellate level criminal cases, as well as expungements. Her passion for justice drives her to fiercely defend her clients.
