Prior to becoming an attorney, I dedicated my life to working to improve the lives of diverse groups of people by working for non-profit organizations.. I assisted survivors of domestic violence as an advocate in the community and the courtroom.  I was Program Director at a residential chemical dependency treatment center for women who struggled courageously with the disease of addiction. While working to support women in their struggle with addiction, I also threw my heart and soul into supporting victims of sex trafficking, as well as women with co-occuring disorders such as PTSD and Major Depression.. I have extensive experience in fundraising for myriad non-profit organizations such as The Minnesota AIDS Project; The Minneapolis Crisis Nursery; The Special Olympics; Minnesota Public Radio; and the National Organization for Women.. I have extensive experience working in the courtroom.
