While at K-State, Karen earned her degree in Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude in 2004. Karen continued her education by earning her J.D. from Washburn University School of Law, graduating with honors. Named the Best Oralist at the J. Braxton Craven Jr. Memorial Competition, Karen served as Vice President of Washburn Moot Court and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers..
