I'm lucky to have a great job working with brilliant people doing what I love.
I grew up in San Antonio, Texas. I graduated magna cum laude from Trinity University in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology. After graduating from Trinity University, I went on to earn my J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. There, I served as the Executive Comments Editor for one of the school’s major publications, The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Minority Issues. I also worked extensively with a San Antonio mediator and arbitrator, Dan Naranjo, researching and writing on a number of legal topics.. After law school, I decided to remain in San Antonio to give back to the community I grew up in. I served as a Briefing Attorney with the Fourth Court of Appeals for Chief Justice Alma Lopez and Justice Marialyn Barnard for two years. After that, I worked as an oil and gas attorney reviewing a variety of documents surrounding the transfer of property. In 2013, I decided to open my own practice, handling a number of probate matters in the following counties: Bexar, Comal, and Wilson. Shorty after opening my practice, a Staff Attorney position with the Fourth Court of Appeals opened and I was asked to return to the court to continue appellate work permanently.
