While in law school at St. Mary’s Hector was a member of the Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Minority Issues, and served as a teaching assistant for mediation, negotiation, and a law in philosophy course, as well as being a member of the Hispanic Law Student Association.. Currently, Hector focuses his time and knowledge to represent individuals faced with probate, property inheritance, or personal injury cases, as well as helping individuals gain peace of mind when they are making decisions related to the future, such as what is the next step in dealing with the assets, home, or insurance of a recently passed loved one, what information does one need to prepare a Will, and how does a person designate the individual who will be there to help deal with their financial affairs or when immediate medical attention is needed, if one is incapacitated..
