I grew up in Madison, New Jersey.  I graduated Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York (1987) and Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, PA in (1990).  I worked for a maritime law firm and an insurance company while going to law school.  I passed the California Bar on my first try.  My first job as a lawyer was as a deputy public defender in Orange County, CA.  After that I was deputy district attorney in Orange County, CA before beginning my private practice in 1997.  I play the guitar and enjoy an excellent guitar collection!

I became a patent attorney because I like to be on the forefront of new discoveries, especially in biomedical technology.  Helping clients understand the patent process and how their intellectual property fits into their overall business scheme is always a new and exciting challenge.. On a personal note, my husband and I run a fitness consultancy, which includes personal training and nutritional guidance.  It is important for us to convey a message of what it means to be healthy.  I am also mom to two young boys, which keeps me on my toes!
