Steven Perlmutter, MD, JD graduated magna cum laude from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.  He was a Law, Science, and Innovation Scholar and a Willard Pedrick Scholar.  He received a pro bono distinction, a Law, Science, and Innovation certificate, and represented the law school at graduation.  Dr. Perlmutter was the first law student to publish two law review articles in outside journals.

I was born and raised in Ohio, but do not miss the midwestern winters at all and thoroughly enjoy the weather and outdoor lifestyle that Phoenix offers.  When I am not practicing law, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter and to stay in shape I swim with a master's team (I swam for Indiana University in college...Go Hoosiers!).. I have been involved in health care since law school where I gained valuable experience in the legal departments of two of the finest hospitals in the country: Johns Hopkins (Baltimore) and Rush (Chicago).
