Born and raised in the greater Seattle area, I am a graduate of Kent-Meridian High School (co-valedictorian) and a graduate of the University of Washington Honors Program, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Distinction.  My honors thesis foscused on self-directed breast cancer research through the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Reseach Center.  I then traveled back east to attend Boston University School of Law, where I graduated with Honors in the Concentration of Litigation and Dispute Resolution.  I also externed for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston for the Chief of the Financial Litigation Division.. I relocated back to my hometown of Kent, WA after over a decade of practice with large firms in New York City and Philadelphia.  During my free time, I enjoy gardening, movies, hiking, skiing, and anything out on the beautiful waters of our Pacific Northwest.  I am a member of the bars of the State of Washington, the State of New York, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

My practice concentrates on representing individual and business debtors, creditors (both secured and unsecured), and Receivers  in cases filed under all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code and in the Washington Courts using the state receivership process.. I help people get the relief that is available under the bankruptcy code and I actually enjoy doing it. I have heavily concentrated in bankruptcy, filing or otherwise working on approximately 2000 cases over a 15 year span. In addition to my consumer bankruptcy experience, I also do creditor's side work helping aggrieved parties collect on their debts. I know how they think, and I can help you get relief.. While bankruptcy is my main area of concentration, I can also help business wind up their activities or help them in receiverships.. On the personal side, I graduated with a degree in geology and worked in a limestone quarry as an on-site geologist for a summer. I have been practicing  bankruptcy law since 1979 in both Eastern and Western Washington.  In this time I have represented a lot of clients. When I am not working I enjoy travel (I have lived in both Sydney Australia and Rio de Janeiro Brazil) sports, a good dinner and a nice bottle of wine. A good movie or book also get my attention.

I have been practicing law for over 38 years. All of my practice involves representing individuals and businesses in bankruptcy.  I have been an attorney volunteer at the King County Bar Association Pro Bono Legal Clinics for over 38 years.  When not busy practicing law, I like to travel, read, and fish.

I am a former creditor attorney.  I now exclusively represent consumers in bankrutpcy, debt settlement, debt litigation (FDCPA, RCW 19.16, RCW 19.86), and tenant rights..
