I worked for 10 years as an in-house real estate attorney for three global companies: The Gap, Amazon, and T-Mobile. In those roles, I drafted and negotiated leases, amendments, letters of intent, subleases, assignments, purchase and sale agreements, ground leases, and termination agreements, for domestic and international locations. My experience also includes the drafting and negotiation of license agreements, signage agreements, storage leases, and other ancillary real estate agreements such as estoppels. During my time in-house, I handled a wide variety of disputes and operational issues, ranging from construction delays to violations of operating covenants to payment disputes. I have negotiated settlements of numerous co-tenancy, co-participation and other audit disputes, and I handled a multi-million dollar construction defect claim. My decade working in-house has given me a business perspective that I bring to every transaction and dispute. I enjoy the variety of work that comes from supporting an evolving business

I earned my undergraduate and graduate degree from the American University in Washington, D.C. where I studied international human rights. I earned my Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law in 2013. During my free time, I enjoy photography, traveling, exploring the outdoors, fitness, cooking, and good wine. Growing up a witness to extreme poverty and civil war, I have an enormous passion for social justice and civil rights. I look forward to serving and empowering the Latino community in the Seattle area and beyond.
I was born and raised in Seattle but spent over a decade living back East, in Washington D.C., Boston, Providence, and southern Massachusets. I feel like I have various homes, and gives me good perspective. Every case and client truly is different. to use the cliche.. I've been fortunate to have been able to practice laws from a wide variety as a angles. First, as a criminal prosecutor, then in civil insurance defense, and now as a criminal defense lawyer, personal injury lawyer, and pro tem judge.. I have a lot of trial experience. I've tried over 200 cases, including over 150 jury trials. In the criminal justice and personal injury field, you have to be a good trial lawyer to be a really good lawyer. To get the best result, you have to be willing to try every case. In that sense, trials are the great equalizer in our system--it's where the lawyers truly stand out.. I love playing tennis and running, but probably my favorite activity is reading. I've been reading military and political history for years. Now I love pretty much anything non-fiction, especially history, law, and politics.

I ski, read, and play with my wonderful family. I may be a geek, but I love practicing law.. I Counsel in the Litigation group and a member of the firm's Privacy & Security subgroup. I manage a rapid response enforcement team to vigorously defend firm clients, such as Facebook, against illegal spamming, phishing, pretexting, and other forms of malicious Internet behavior. Later, I led the legal team at a Hong Kong-based brand protection consultancy, helping companies protect their IP and operations across Greater China, Southeast Asia, and Latin America..
