Phil was as a law enforcement officer in the State of Alabama for over 25 years and prior to his retirement was a Deputy Chief of Police. Phil was an adjunct instructor for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Academy where he taught a course, he developed entitled Understanding Your Authority, which outlined an officer’s statutory authority in the Use of Force, Deadly Force, Arrest’s and Civil Rights Violations.. Phil holds multiple degrees in criminal justice and criminal justice administration and obtained his law degree from the Birmingham School of Law. Phil is married to Jonna Roberson who is a retired teacher with the Pell City School System and is now a touring stand-up comedian.
