My job is to make sure that you are protected during the process.. Professionally, I have represented a broad spectrum of U.S. and foreign clients on a wide range of complex matters. I represent several corporations listed annually as top performing companies by Crains Chicago Business. and recently served as General Counsel and Director of Legal Services for an international outsourcing and consulting company, managing attorneys and legal affairs on three continents.. In 2005-2006, I was the American Bar Association Vice-Chair (YLD) for the Trusts, Estates and Real Estate Division, participating in efforts to educate the legal community about the complexities of real estate and estate planning work. I have also taught real estate law to agents and legal professionals in Illinois and American law overseas, most notably in India and Israel.. As a litigator, i represent clients in complex cases before various courts throughout the State of Illinois as well as the 7th Circuit. I am a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois and participate in teaching members of international jurisdictions about American trial practice.. In 2004, I vindicated the rights of observant religious women in Illinois, allowing them to obtain State IDs with their hair covered. This case led to a change in Illinois State Law and had been cited as a precedent in other leading civil rights cases throughout the United States. Additionally, I am a published author with many pieces on international law, commercial law and the law of the Internet appearing in numerous online publications.. I hold a B.A. from Yeshiva University and a J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law. I am a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Decalogue Society of Jewish Lawyers.

I have practiced law in Cook County, Illinois for over 29 years, twenty seven (27) of those years as an assistant state's attorney.  My trial experience (over 55 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials), evidences my skills in the area of trials and litigation and my understsanding of the complexity, importance and effectiveness of the trial process.  From Decmever 2002 to the present I have been assigned to the Skokie Courthouse at the Second Municipal District.  I have served there as a first chair in felony trial courtrooms and as a deputy supervisor.  I currently serve as a first chair in a courtroom.  My responsibilities include management of over 300 felony Chicago Criminal cases, and direct supervision of other Assistant State's Attorneys.  Previously as deputy supervisor in District 2, I supervised 35 attorneys, 5 investigators, and 10 administrative staff members.  From January 1999 to December 2002 I served as a Trial Supervisor in the Juvenile Justice Bureau, Child Protection Division.  In that capacity, my responsibilities included direct supervision of attorneys assigned to six courtrooms dedicated to protection of child victims of abuse and neglect, weekly training for approximately 50 ASA's, and assisting in the preparation and filing of DCFS cases for court involvement.  From 1994 to 1999 I served as a first chair or lead assistant states attorney in several felony trial courtrooms at the Criminal Courts at 26th and California.
