Your case is about you, and I'm here to help. My #1 burning question is always, what can I do to help you? I'm here to point you in the right direction and shed some light on your situation.. I grew up in Rock Hill, then came to Spartanburg to go to Wofford College, where I graduated in 1996. I graduated from law school at the University of South Carolina in 2000.. After that, I worked as a law clerk for a state circuit court judge in Barnwell, who held court mostly in Aiken, Bamberg, and Barnwell. After a year there, I returned to the Upstate in 2001 to practice law in Easley.. In 2005, I joined this firm. I am grateful to practice law here. I am thankful to be part of the Spartanburg community, where my wife and I raise our four children. We belong to First Presbyterian Church here in town, where I've served as a deacon. Over the years, I've served Spartanburg on the boards of the local Red Cross and TOTAL Ministries, a mission funded by local churches to feed and clothe the less fortunate. Most recently, I got appointed by the governor to serve on the board for the Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center, giving me a golden opportunity to help our community reach out to those gripped by the pain and isolation of mental health challenges.. I've been honored to be an elected leader within the legal profession as a two-term member of the board of directors for the state criminal defense lawyers association and chairman of the personal injury and insurance committee of the South Carolina Bar.. For my entire legal career starting in 2001, I've worked to help people who got hurt through no fault of their own and defend people accused of crime, including DUI. I've tried numerous cases to a jury verdict, from car accidents to residential construction to assault and battery with intent to kill, and DUIs. I've also tried several workers’ compensation hearings.. The best thing about being a lawyer is I get to be a voice for folks who might not otherwise have one. I am very proud of the people I help and the causes I represent.. Any result for a prior client does not necessarily indicate similar results can be obtained for other clients, and every case must be evaluated on its unique facts and law.
Jenny was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, and she is a graduate of the College of Charleston and Charleston School of Law. Prior to moving to Spartanburg, she helped form the Charleston County Custody Fast-Track Committee, which she co-chaired. Jenny is a frequent speaker at local, state, and national continuing legal education seminars, and she moderates the annual Guardian ad Litem training, sponsored by the South Carolina Bar. She is also one of only 18 attorneys in South Carolina to be selected to participate in the 2014 Leadership Academy sponsored by the SC Bar.. Jenny was trained and certified as a Volunteer Guardian ad Litem during her first year of law school. Following her certification, she devoted her pro bono service work for over two years to representing children involved in abuse and neglect cases in the Charleston County Family Court. These Guardian ad Litem cases, along with her own personal experience with divorce, inspired her to practice family law in a way that focuses not only on the legal aspect of domestic relations but also on the impact these events have on the individuals involved. Being a wife, mother, and stepmother herself, Jenny understands the compassion and sensitivity needed to handle these types of cases.. Jenny is an active member of the Spartanburg County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar, the American Bar Association, and the South Carolina Women Lawyer’s Association. She is also a certified private Guardian ad Litem and finds her work representing children in private custody litigation to be some of the most rewarding work in the practice of law. When she isn’t working as an attorney Guardian ad Litem, Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband and their six children. As a lifelong bibliophile, she is always sneaking time to read any book that catches her fancy.
For more than 35 years, I have represented real people as a result of injuries or death. I handle a broad spectrum of personal injury claims including car and truck accidents, work related injuries, injuries from defective products, nursing home abuse, and medical malpractice. I receive thank you noted, Christmas cards, hugs, and even vegtables in the summer out of my clients gardens. It is my goal to make a diffence in the lives of my clients.. I use the latest technology to enhance your case including "day in a life" videos, accident reconstruction experts, power point presentationa, vocational experts, and economists to establish financial loss and life care experts when needed.. I am regularly hired by other lawyers to assist in complicated or high stakes lawsuits. I also handle class action litigation and litigation involving numerous claimants..
