I have lived and traveled extensively in the United States as well as abroad.  I lived in Europe for a year and have also traveled throughout Asia and South America.. An experienced mountaineer, I have climed extensively in the Rocky Mountains (both Canadian and U.S.) as well as in the Andes and Himalay, successfully summiting the sixth highest Mountain in the World (Cho Oyu at 27,000').. I like most any sporting and wilderness activities and physical fitness.. I have three children who preoccupy my time and thoughts.  My down time is spent reading and listening to music.

A native of Montana, I came to Spokane to attend Gonzaga University as an undergraduate.  As a skier, golfer, tennis player and eventually as a husband and father, I have learned what a great area we live in.  My practice has grown and changed, from a general practice doing everything from real estate closings, adoptions and family law, to a very specialized practice, with experience in and emphasis on catastrophic injury, product liability, medical negligence and complex commercial litigation.. After more than 27 years of practice, I have had the opportunity to be in front of Judges in the State of Washington's District Court, Superior Court, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court, as well as Idaho's District Court and the Supreme Court of Idaho.  I have also appeared in numerous pre-litigation screening panels in Idaho, before the Washington Medical Quality Assurance Commission, and before a variety of Administrative Law Judges in cases involving allegations of safety violations, industrial injury and social security disability.. The increased use of mediation and arbitration during my career has also provided the opportunity to be an advocate in both arenas, as well as chances to act as both a mediator and an arbitrator.  My clients get the highly qualified and deeply committed advocacy they deserve, every day.
