Matt is a partner with the firm.  His primary areas of practice are estate planning and probate, forming new corporations and LLC, business transactions and litigation, landlord/tenant (representing landlords), and creditors’ rights and collections.. Matt Fryar was born and raised in Royal, Arkansas, where he graduated from Lake Hamilton High School in 2002. Matt obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Communications from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 2006. He then went on to attend the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville and graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctor Degree in 2009.. He has also been on both sides of contested guardianships, representing persons seeking a guardian for a mother or father and has represented wards ( the persons alleged to be incapacitated)  opposing guardianships.. Commercial Litigation — Over his more than 40 years of experience, Jim has handled a vast array of commercial litigation,  including economic damages product liability cases, breach of construction contracts, covenants not to compete, theft of trade secrets , Packers and Stockyards disputes,  foreclosures, wrongful discharge defense and  employment discrimination defense.. Railroad Law —  Jim has had the good fortune to represent a short-line railroad.
