I also work closely with individuals and families upon the death of a loved.  I understand the grieving process and walk individuals through the estate and probate administration process.. Disabled individuals have special needs when it comes to planning for their estate.  I assist families with disabled individuals to ensure they are receiving the benefits needed, protecting assets and ensuring the proper individuals have decision making authority through special needs trusts, guardianships and conservatorships.. I thoroughly enjoy assisting my clients achieve peace of mind to ensure their estate will be a smooth process, even in the event of a tragedy.  My passion comes from seeing my clients achieve their goals, feel peace of mind and settle a family member's estate.. I spend my time outside of work with my husband, son and daughter.  I love to watch sports, spend summer weekends at the lake, watch movies, read and bake.

Katie is an associate attorney at Jeffrey P. Scott & Associates. After graduating from the University of St. Thomas, cum laude, Katie enrolled at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. During law school, Katie developed a passion for helping families and individuals meet their lifetime needs and legacy goals through specialized estate planning. While clerking at a respected law firm in New Mexico during the summer of 2011, she gained broad experience working with clients in the areas of estate planning, probate, and guardianships and conservatorships. Katie now practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, estate and trust administration, and guardianships and conservatorships.Katie is a founding member of the Center for Girls’ Leadership, an organization aimed at inspiring young women to be the leaders of tomorrow. She currently serve as the President of the CGL's Board of Director's as well as the co-committee chair of the organizations' development committee.  She resides in Saint Paul with her husband and two cats.
