Mr. Elin grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts and received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and both a law degree and Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. While in law school, Mr. Elin was an Editor of the Journal of Law and Commerce, a quarter-finalist of the Wagner National Labor Law Moot Court Competition in New York City, and a quarter-finalist in the Craven National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition at Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Mr. Elin was awarded the Faculty Award for Excellence in Legal Scholarship and was admitted into the prestigious Order of the Barristers.
