I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am proud to have received my Doctor of Jurisprudence from Florida International University College of Law. At the start of my legal career, I served as a volunteer attorney with the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, Probate Division, and later a Case Manager and Supervisor in the Probate Division. During my time there, I gained extensive experience reviewing probate cases for compliance with local rules and Florida law, and working with the Director of Probate in court administration. While serving the community in this capacity, I pursued a Master of Laws in Taxation from Boston University School of Law, with a concentration in Estate Planning. I later entered private practice, where I dedicate my legal experience to estate planning, trusts, and probate and guardianship administration and litigation. I have been fortunate to handle complex legal matters such as representing the interest of Cuban national beneficiaries in compliance with OFAC regulations, conducting elder abuse litigation, and assisting with probate have also had the honor of serving as court-appointed ad litem to serve the interest of unknown and unrepresented heirs, and as curator in special estate circumstances. I am passionate about my work and I continue to strive to acquire knowledge everyday. As a child of immigrant parents, I appreciate the privilege of practicing the legal profession and always stress the importance of assisting others with compassion.
